It has been 11 years since my cancer. I have to say that having cancer and
surviving is quite empowering. I am thankful. It changed my life.
I had my operation on the year anniversary of 9/11; that is how I remember. I still went through Chemotherapy and that turned out to be quite the life changer as well. I realized I missed my artistic side and started working again, singing again, gardening again.
So many things have come back into my life. I feel like I am growing, enjoying this life. I love my home, my yard, and my family particularly, which includes my kids, my dogs, my fish and all the living creatures on this property. I also have the greatest group of friends. I appreciate them immensely. And I am blessed to have my wonderful sister and brother-in-law living very close by. How fortunate am I.
Life is good.
